An Invitation from the King
To Men:
You are a F.O.R.C.E.
You’re something to be reckoned with - dangerous, in the best way possible. You’re fiercely good, courageously truthful. You’re strength under control, rugged and tough, yet tender and compassionate. You have fire in your veins. You know your purpose and you’re passionate, and more than capable, to meet…no exceed…your call. You’re confident, inspirational, magnetic. You are Fierce, Obedient, Relentless, Courageous, Excellent…you are a F.O.R.C.E. You’re unapologetic about who you are and what you do…after all, you’re on mission for the King.
Or perhaps not.
You’re no force.
That doesn’t describe you at all. You certainly don’t feel like it does. A force? You don’t feel like a force, you’re not even sure you’re supposed to be a force anymore. You certainly don’t know your purpose, not really, but it seems to be a lot more about surviving than anything else. And you’re not even sure who this “King” even is, forget about being on His mission.
Instead, you're:
Angry
At everyone, anyone, and no one in particular. Sometimes, always. Maybe you know why, maybe you don’t. But it’s there.
Confused
But you won’t admit it. You can’t, people think less of you. You’re a man, you aren’t supposed to be confused at who you are, what you are supposed to be doing, who you should be doing it with, when and how to do it. But you are.
Trapped
You feel boxed in and bored. In a cage, one you built yourself. You’re in need of adventure. How did it get like this? You did all the right things. Played it safe. Got the girl. Got the job. Got the house. You’re a nice guy. You shouldn’t feel this way. But you do.
Disrespected
No one respects you, not like they should anyway. And if they do, they wouldn’t if they knew the real you. Where you’ve been, what you’ve done, what you think, how you escape. You deserve more appreciation, or maybe you don’t. But you want it.
Weak
People keep taking advantage of you. The world keeps stomping you down and worse, you’re letting it. You can’t catch a break and you aren’t strong enough to make your own. You don’t have the skills, the power…you don’t even have the approval…to be strong and capable.
But you yearn for it.
Tired
You can’t keep going like this. Everyone expects so much from you. You have no time and even if you did, the fire is gone. You don’t have the drive you once did. You aren’t sure how you are going to keep it all going. It’s all so…ugh. But you have no choice.
Alone
You might have people around, you might not. Even if you do, they don’t know you, not really. You have so much you never say to anyone. You’d like to, but to who? No one would understand. You really want to share, to feel supported, to support. Where are the real people? You want people around. But there are none.
Afraid
That you aren’t enough. That you haven’t done enough. That you’ve done too much. That someone is going to find out you’re a fake. That you’re going to lose it all. You’re even afraid that you’re afraid. If you’re honest, fear drives most of what you do. You want to have courage. But you have none.
So which one is it? Do you have the courage AND discipline to live unapologetically for the highest purpose or do you want to be…average?
There is no room for timidity or unrighteousness for a F.O.R.C.E. The King’s purpose for a F.O.R.C.E. will require the fire in your veins to burn higher; greatness, not mere survival, is your calling. But He requires strength under control. Just as a wild stallion, perfectly designed for purpose, creates only chaos until he offers himself to a companion worthy of his life, you too, perfectly designed for your calling, will only find meaning, purpose, and legacy when you devote yourself to the ultimately worthy Companion.
So men, will you accept the invitation? It is indeed from the King - King Jesus.
Become a F.O.R.C.E. and find out that true freedom comes from surrender.
It’s time to put aside mediocrity and grasp eternity. Don’t believe the lies…you are not too weak, too nice, too old, irredeemable. No, no matter who you are or where you’ve been, it’s time for you to embrace your destiny. It’s time for you to become fierce, obedient, relentless, courageous, and excellent. It’s time to be a life-giving F.O.R.C.E. It’s time to fulfill your purpose to spread to love of Jesus to a broken world. It’s time. Yes, it’s time. It’s time to Unleash the Man God Created You to Be.
